Ikoku Meiro no Croisée (The Crossroads of a Foreign Labyrinth) ends rather abruptly. This may be a feel-good slice-of-life anime but it does have an overall story. Yet the ending leaves half the plot threads dangling.

Presumably they are hoping for another season to wrap things up.

Still I would give a marginal thumbs up to the first season even by itself. The beautiful backgrounds alone make it worth a look. It’s a bit darker than Aria but still upbeat and charming.
