It&#8217;s a cleverly-written fantasy that is partly a heart-warming family comedy, but with some darker elements. (The background images are part of the charm of this series.) They tend to be arrogant and hot-tempered. He spends all his time at the bottom of a sacred well in the form of a frog. When startled in human form he lets his tail pop out.<\/p>\n<p>(The brother&#8217;s names contain the <a href=\"\/fun\/terms-used-in-anime-reviews\/#kanji\">kanji<\/a> for &#8220;one&#8221;, &#8220;two&#8221;, &#8220;three&#8221; and &#8220;four&#8221;, giving their birth order. They bully him mercilessly.<\/p>\n<p>Their sister Kaisei seems much nicer though we haven&#8217;t actually seen her yet&#8211;we&#8217;ve just heard her voice. She apparently likes to stay out of sight. Yasaburou feels guilty about it though he hasn&#8217;t admitted his role. He has taught her how to fly and given her valuable magic items.<\/p>\n<p>Benten has a cool and seductive manner. Yasaburou finds her both fascinating and scary. He has good reason to be cautious.
