Ends"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was a bit surprised when <em>Binbougami ga!<\/em> ended after 13 episodes. The way they were introducing new characters almost up to the end had me convinced that this had to be a 2 <a href=\"\/fun\/terms-used-in-anime-reviews#cour\">cour<\/a> series.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Attack-the-bear.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Attack-the-bear-550x309.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Attack the bear!\" width=\"550\" height=\"309\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8028\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Attack-the-bear-550x309.jpg 550w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Attack-the-bear-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Attack-the-bear-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Attack-the-bear-500x281.jpg 500w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/Attack-the-bear.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nNevertheless they managed to come up with a reasonably satisfactory ending (with the promise of a sequel.) An ending that managed to make throwing someone into a pile of garbage seem heartwarming.<\/p>\n<p>Yes this is all lightweight slapstick, but it&#8217;s an imaginative slapstick comedy that really seems to really care about its characters. It&#8217;s not just a bunch of random episodes. The author clearly has a complete story in mind (with an ending similar to what I suggested in <a href=\"\/fun\/2012\/09\/08\/binbougami-ga-midseason-impressions\/\">my earlier post<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>This is head and shoulders above most shows of its type. Assuming that they get the funding for the promised sequel, let&#8217;s hope they can keep the writing on the same level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was a bit surprised when Binbougami ga! ended after 13 episodes.
