And he&#8217;s probably right. Since I wrote my <a href=\"\/fun\/2012\/04\/24\/accel-world-anime-early-impressions\/\">original post<\/a> some things have happened that show her in quite a different light.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Snow-Black-and-prince.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Snow-Black-and-prince-550x309.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Snow Black and prince\" width=\"550\" height=\"309\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Snow-Black-and-prince-550x309.jpg 550w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Snow-Black-and-prince-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Snow-Black-and-prince-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Snow-Black-and-prince-500x281.jpg 500w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Snow-Black-and-prince.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWhich is a good thing. I greatly prefer it if a story isn&#8217;t too easy to predict. <em>Accel World<\/em>, while sticking to the basic framework of a <a href=\"\/fun\/terms-used-in-anime-reviews\/#shounen\">shounen<\/a> fighting <a href=\"\/fun\/terms-used-in-anime-reviews#anime\">anime<\/a>, is showing an admirable amount of creativity. At this point it is one of my two favorite shows of the season. (The other is <a href=\"\/fun\/2012\/04\/29\/kids-on-the-slope-anime-early-impressions\/\"><em>Kids on the Slope<\/em><\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>And for those who dismissed Haruyuki as a whiny coward&#8211;he still has some self-esteem issues but he&#8217;s clearly starting to blossom into a true hero.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ani-nouto dings me for misjudging Kuroyukihime&#8217;s character in Accel World.
