Hundreds tried it during the Edo Period and some survived. During the Edo Period women would sometimes visit the shrine at 2 AM and nail a straw doll to the cedar tree in order to curse their enemies.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Okage-Myoujin-and-Daikaku-s.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Okage-Myoujin-and-Daikaku-s-444x367.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Okage Myoujin and Daikaku shrines\" width=\"444\" height=\"367\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6979\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Okage-Myoujin-and-Daikaku-s-444x367.jpg 444w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Okage-Myoujin-and-Daikaku-s-363x300.jpg 363w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Okage-Myoujin-and-Daikaku-s.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 444px) 100vw, 444px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jishu&#8217;s most famous attraction are the two &#8220;love stones&#8221; set on opposite sides of the plaza. Supposedly if you can walk a straight line from one stone to the other with your eyes closed then you are guaranteed romantic success.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Love-Stone.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Love-Stone-519x367.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Love Stone\" width=\"519\" height=\"367\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6980\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Love-Stone-519x367.jpg 519w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Love-Stone-424x300.jpg 424w, https:\/\/bugfox.net\/fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Love-Stone.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 519px) 100vw, 519px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I didn&#8217;t see anyone try it.
