Amagi Brilliant Park<\/em> had two ambitions: to tell a simple fantasy story while piling on lots of off-the-wall humor. That’s a common thing for a anime<\/a> series to try, but the results are often unimpressive.

\nAmigi<\/em> pulls it off perfectly. It is consistently hilarious but also surprisingly touching.

\nI trust that I’m not giving away too much when I say that the series pulls off a happy ending to the story arc (while leaving an opening for a possible sequel.)

\nThere are some tense moments in the 12th episode, but they do manage to save the park and at least postpone Latifa’s curse.

\nAll of the good guys work together, each contributing in his own way.
\n\"Wanipi<\/a>
\nThat wraps up the story and still leaves the 13th episode to fill.

\nSo naturally they hark back to KyoAni’s 2006 hit The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya<\/em><\/a> by having the characters work together to make a very very bad video.
